unspoken wishes
an empty word, a feeling, a thoughtrepeated until all meaning is lost
could serve a purpose, but I think not
nothing to buy so there is no cost
running out of things to say
and my words are all for you
scratching at sanity, finding purpose for me
swimming upstream until I'm out of breath
try to close me eyes to what I see
but It's so obvious whats left
tears and wishes repeated everyday
and my songs all sung so true
desperate hope, refrain from a dream
not sure what choice is best
unravelling fortune seam by seam
hear the beats of a coward within my chest
all the prices I wish I could pay
a minefield I wish I could get through
all my sorrows have melted away
burned my insides, just left some empty goo
too late to hear you say It's okay
there's nothing you can do
unspoken wishes, I know we both pray
our day will come, you'll be waiting too
