Australia is a mixture of abundance of natural beauty with its unique Marsupial Fauna and Flora along with Aboriginal art and modern architecture. The South and the Central Coats are breathtakingly beautiful...

Glimpses of Australia

Tarramara Lake, glows golden
As the sun comes awake;
Pelicans and Swans vye with each other
For their morning steak
While Sea Gull hovering over-head dives
down to catch the fish in one gracefully swoop,
Comes and perches on our picnic table
To peck at fried chicken, its favourite food...

People smoothly canoe in the lake.
Rocky cliffs jutting into the sea,
Cut by the centuries of beating waves,
Little rocky islands stand in the sea,
Central coast has its own beauty.

Golden beaches of South Coast
Spread far as the virgin shores
For miles together, not a human seen,
Has on the soul an effect serene...
An old man walks his Dingo Dog,
Companion of his lonely life,
At dawn on the Casey beach.
Boats marooned, bob softly on the shore
As the golden sun rises in the East...

Bateman's Bay is a feast for the eye:
Blue rocky islands loom large where
the sea-edge with the horizon meets.
The silver sand of Murphy Beach
soothes my heart, clears my mind...
A little girl in a loose blue-sweater
With her brothers plays hide-and-seek...

Rose-breasted-pigeons and Cockatoos
Multi-coloured parakeets and the Finch-Blue
Come and perch themselves on your arms
If you assume the scare-crow stance...

Willows whisper melody sweet
On Javer's Bay, managed by Aborigines...
A fisherman calmly waits for trouts-
line and tackle all in place, while
someone from the nearby island
at him enviously gaze.
Fishing boats shine in the quay,
As the sunsets on the 'Dolphin Point'.

'Chinese Garden' on the Darling Harbour
Away from the hub-hub of the city
Is a quiet haven in the middle of Sydney-
Weeping Willows branches in the lake peeping,
Like the limbs of a fair maiden...
Chinese–Teahouse in the middle of the lake
Offers Green-tea and Sea-food...

Opera House, an architectural wonder-
'Phantom of an Opera's the heart's delight!
A perfect view from 'Lady Macquarie's Chair'...
The 'Rocks' offer the relics of Aboriginal art.
'Latin Quarters' remind me of London's heart...

Aborigines play the 'Didjeridu'
Three Sisters whisper in the Mountain Blue
Rickety train plunges into Katoomba Colliery,
which once for Miners spelled the 'death-pits'...
Yellow cable car from cliff to cliff
Passes over the rainbow in the rainforests...

But, it is the Koala's and the Kangaroos
Who so friendly come and 'talk' to you
Such unique creatures like the Possum sweet
Every one of them with a pouch carrying
their young, who hop in and out
Green-blue parrots and variety of parakeets
Offer a fauna of marsupials unique
In the bushy outland-Down-Under

Where the Vineyards offer 'Chardonnay'
We sit in a café and have Earl-Gray...

Glimpses of Australia are in memory ingrained...

SAKTHI RAVICHANDRAN
DEAr co poet,
IAM SAKTHI RAVICHANDRAN FROM TAMILNADU CHENNAI
YOUR LINES FROM THE GLIMPSES OF AUSTRALIA
RESEMBLES SORRY RECOLLECTS MY SCHOOL DAY MEMORIES
THAT IS
RAISE BROTHERS RAISE
THE WAKENING SKIES PRAY TO THE MORNING LIGHT

HERE IN THIS POEM YOU HAVE DESCRIBED THAT THE DAWN OF THE SUN MAKES THE RIVER WATER GLOWS AS GOLD
NICE AND TO ENJOYABLE

HERE IAM SENDING MY POEM FOR YOUR EVALUATION PLS DO FOR ME
=============================================== KISS ME

Kiss me dear to forget all my worries and

to overcome all my griefs of life

when you are nearing me to kiss,I feel

a tremendous feel blossoms in my mind

My eyeballs go to the sweet dark and

my lips get dried to quench the wine from...

Seconds moves slow as an year

The surrounding becomes dark and glare

Your face and lips only visible to me

I am flying, flying above on the heaven

Dear! please be there,I will stay there for a long

MY PALACE AND MY QUEEN
===================

Though it is a hut in a slum

it is spacious and neat to stay

With all comforts I am writing there

My angel serves as a maiden to me

when iam wandering in the world of dreams

Her hand will gently spray the air from a handy fay

She cared that even sweat should not hinder my creations

Her eyes will watch the sky

to prevent my poems from the rain drops

Her hands will carry a candle

to continue my writings at the dark nights

My home may be a hut and she may be an aged wife

It is my Palace, and She is my queen.

This is so wonderfully descriptive and rich in detail - I went to look at your exhibition of pictures - this is all so wonderfully capture with a romantic and wonderful text. I am in awe of writing like this, truly - I felt I was there, even though I have never been to Australia
