A LOVER HAS GONE MISSING

I'm tired but I cannot sleep.
I'm sad but I cannot weep.
I'm content but never satisfied.
I'm alive, yet still I died.

A lover has gone missing,
among limestones and sheep.
My heart lies bleeding,
a leap into the deep.

I know in time it'll work out fine.
I'll meet my lover at the shoreline.
We're partners in crime,
criminals for a lifetime.

Soon I'll rest in your safe embrace.
A godgiven, warm, relaxing place.
I couldn't be easier to satisfy.
We're alive and we will never die.
