The Tree, The Branch, The Leaf

It grows,
Because it has to,
Because it is what always is, Life eternal,
No matter what, when or what you do,
You are part of it that was created from it,
Grew from it and was blown away from it,
In order to grow your own,
This is the way of things,

But as the wind blows,
So do our memories of our beginnings,
It is so easy to forget,
And so hard to discipline one self,
To remember,
But if you do, unfortunately,
Just breathe as the air takes you back home,
To where you belong and misplace,
Becuase after all, you were never lost,
You just change direction to meet or greet something new,

We are always growing,
With and amongst ourselves,
And with our pursuit to make things easier,
Doesn't it seem that we make things more complex,
Or is this the price of growing up?, Who knows,
But I do know in this huge forest created,
The trees that were once branches,
The branches that were once leaves,
There is a beginning there,
And from that, we all came to be,

And it is with that, we must breathe again,
To not only realize, but understand,
What hurts one tree effects us all,
And as the forest grows smaller,
So do we, as a family,
As friends and even, an individual,
As the wind blows us to new directions,
For something to remember is that,
You were made from love,
And it is your duty to pass it on,

To the leaves,
To the branch,
To the tree,
As we defend,
So must we love,
More,

The dancer moves without a trace,

Kathy Lockhart
a beautiful analogy. I love trees. I have some spiritual connection it seems to them. I respect their majesty. And I love the analogy that you have made between us, people, and trees. It suits me very well.
