UnWorldly
nestled in cobwebs and shadows
behind the blue-veined glass
upon the dream-stained grass,
felt you once so very close
upon a time fairy rose,
dance in green and brilliant meadows,
in fragrant spells you dressed your hair
a garden fountain sang through the listing trees
in flowering waters of amethyst
your images of Beauty manifest
drawn from sweet wells of waters fair
with ringing bells you pressed the air,
but soft the music of your breaths became
a vision moving a dream a prayer
in satin embers were burning there
where no one else could ever wear your name
as silent as a ghost you touched my brow and went
like a heavenly host, a night of consequent
moments without measure seemed to glide upon the seas
as I composed my fervent odes to the glories of your eyes
I felt the world grow light inside
even as a seed in pangs of birth
perhaps it was the Earth, wishing to be
with you as was I once beside
and you, your Beauty lived, with me...
