nothing profound just saying some goodbyes and hellos
I'm Going Home
It is 6:30 am Tuesday, Aug. 6 the beginning of my last day of my month long vacation in Florida. Since I left a month ago, I gained a year in age, tanned an aging body, and felt the love of the Bay. Since I told you I was leaving, now I tell you I am returning. Silly to some I suppose, but how can I be anything but me?
I'm going home
leaving the palms behind me
waving goodbye to the sea
as the waves roll eternally
I'm going home
I'm going home
to daughers, sons, and grands
to sisters and brothers and
shaking my shoes of sand
I'm going home
I'm going home
catching flight 6-9-0
praying that safely I go
thankfully thinking so
I'm going home
