october

october came and swallowed the sun
painted the sky black and red
we made love, though dead
love came undone

october came and strangled the heat
night frost, cold bed
maby it's all in my head
denial is on repeat

october came and knocked me out
resistance was useless
so much distress
compassion became doubt

october came and took its toll
there is no more
stab-wound,....... gore
darkness took control

October came and did me in,
Gave me such a fright,
Snow flakes came rushing in
Bore into my eyes, tears came
Gushing out, blurring away my sight...

This is such a sad, passionate, desolate, and yet very tender piece...
