While on a small island way away from all civi lisation I came to be made aware of the sky above in a different way...
and below
the starry firmament
wedged between nebulosae
and early morning mist
was never so close before
one morning
with a froth of foam
aquamarine sea met
azurblue heaven
another morn leadgrey skies
kissed pearlgray dawn
pencilled outlines only
then an uproarious molten
silver sea throwing itself
against the brim of sootblack rock
or the lake of silken blue
clearer than the heaven itself
the prattling of a downpour
in the harbor
against the arch of a rainbow
inland
never has the sky been
so high
so low
so inside me
and so without
and never before
lacked I wings to fly with
more than now
