The northern winds song

Over the hills and far away
ran the wind from north
the trees said farewell
and don´t forget
to come back
next spring

the trees waved goodbye
when the wind from north
hugged the trees with a storm
and the snow start falling
after a week when
whole the nature
went to sleep

and a song was sung
from northern land
it was the wind
who was singing
a lullaby

Sleep my beloved
under your white blanket
dream about summer
and meet me in the spring
and remember my love
i will be back again

when i read the words here, for me they conjure an air of soft-flowing tenderness and appreciation... summer is slowly on its way out for a while, the trees are beginning to show us... nature (and our own hearts) preparing for the cold seasons to settle again, but knowing at the end of those months, the trees will be filled with leaves and the warm days of summer will start all over again... an ode to summer is how i see this :) your poem carried me from line to line, really enjoyed the thoughts it all brings to my mind... especially liked the third stanza... very beautiful write dan, thanks :f :) *hugs* xx
