Flower
a flower blooms only once a yearthe sun shines on it
colors fly in red, blue, purple
in nature it just seems to fit
time moves on, an undying foe
the flower grows brighter
seasons continue to flow
the flower dimms with laughter
a sign of wilting
shows how fragile a petal is
one by one they fall
falling into the winter mist
the sun grows out of the horizon
and a blade of grass appears
it grows, then blooms
and the flower sheds no tears.
