A NEW PLACE TO BE
There's a road up ahead,
which none of us has walked before.
Not you, not me,
this is a new place to be!
You take to the right,
I balance to the left.
This road is crooked,
our love is shaded,
by trees and overgrown seas,
by greed and magnificent weeds.
Our needs are smaller than our pleads,
therefor our pleasure bleeds.
It's hard to see through the shape of things.
I try to relate to what I haven't seen before.
Crooked roads, ups and downs,
let's prepare for the fouls and frowns.
There's a road up ahead,
which none of us has walked before.
This is a new place to be.
A place to settle our "we".
