Welcome days with longer nights!
Leaves of yellow, birds of white
Dancing colors, raining sky
All the children wonder why

Yonder sun burns colder still
Stare above the window sill
Stay short sleeved and start to freeze
Break the jackets out now please

Freinds come back and share the joy
Start with school now, girls and boys
Run through leaves and sing the sound
Watch the young days lose their bound.

Death comes closer now, my girl
Closer still, its wings unfurled
Never mind its coils and dread
You are safe now, in your bed

Fall is here and here are we
Living life the way we see...
