Caress my carcass

Caress my carcass.
Make me alive once more.
Turn these broken bones to wings.
I miss the beauty of things.

Look into these empty eyes.
Defeated by hate and lies.
Feel the flesh of my heart.
I deliberately chose to part.

Kiss my swollen lips.
Mend these bloody whips.
Let me taste your touch.
Being alive was just too much.

Sing your song, sad but true.
Find a home with a beautiful view.
Remember me for all that I was.
I found my way far beyond Oz.

Caress my carcass.
Make me alive once more.
Turn these broken bones to wings.
I really miss the beauty of things.

It could make such a good song. :) caress my carcass, just a wonderful play with the words there. A little too much love, to little action for my taste though, but I must say it's one of the better ones!

Is this looking back for the want of wanting, or wanting that which has gone before, anyway they seldom reach fruition But a good write all the same :-)
