My tribute to global warming!

The Legacy Of Man

Sands cover hills and fields
Trees, birds and animals
Long gone in the deathly silence
Dunes blow, moving, swaying in the wind
Covering ancient mountains
Their jagged rocks worn down
The stories they once told
Lost to time
The sun glows as bright a red as the most beautiful sunset
At its apex it travels through a burning sky
Mercilessly shining on a toasted landscape
Clouds once white and fluffy
Now glow with untold heat
There is no rain
There are no cooling breezes
There are no traces of the life which once thrived
This barren land graced life for millions of years
Now their sounds, their footsteps are gone
There is nothing left
No life
No dreams
No love
This is man's legacy
A million years
Man took from this world
Lived because of what it had to offer
What legacy did man leave
Not the life that should have continued to bloom
Nothing to even show that he was here
He began with what he called an Eden
He left a Hell on Earth
Fire
Smoke
Death
Nothing
