A Plausible Prayer
Sunlight over the mountains. Sunlight through the branches. Sunlight goldenacross the field. Sunlight subliminal. Sunlight flashing like secrets from the lips
of a woman. Sunlight wherever I touch you.
Sunlight extended as a code of bright stars. Sunlight inside of the moon.
Though everything you think about is dark. And all the words you say are rain
falling from your tongue.
Sunlight for my death, but, let it be your night that splits my sternum open
to kiss the nipples of my heart. Let it be your dark that resurrects me.
