a land of waking days

beaten words in a world we knew
sentences glued to matter erroding
elusive thoughts enter

searching the enigma

messages hidden in our minds
sleeping in a land of waking days

you touching scars unhealed
candles burning on a pathway
darkened and lit in the pale moon

and I ask are roses really true
does the river turn in the valley of sadness

will tears subside as time circles once more
