a sad poem inspired by Amanda K's poem, "By My Own."

no rainbow

soundless drops enter eyes

without a care as to what they reveal

puddles form and glisten neath damp lashes

closed as shades to try and  hide the pain

they cannot hold back the flow

as tears trace, at first, one and then

many, pouring down cheeks

dripping upon the heart

that sheds tears of its own

no rainbow

no sun

just rain

It was a sad one... very well described how you can feel one of those days when it's raining outside and on the inside.

a state of the heart that hurts to the point of feeling nihilation would be an option ... you express this vividly here ...

I just listened to Bill Withers "Lean on Me" and include a link to a You Tube link with this song .... a wonderful song .... telling of hope when things are dark ....
