Good Night, Dear Night

Twilight oh twilight show me, just take a minute and get to know me before night falls
Night calls in many different ways and tries its hand in matrimony
He is lonely without the stars, shone bright specs reflect to make spectacles
Energies receptacle holding onto pleasant dreams...

Good night, dear night and let the sun rest on your pillow
If it gets a little too hot, take shade beneath the willow...but promise not to weep...
The water from your skin runs deep and will extinguish all of these inner fires

You will make liars of us all, that give you salutations
You will make trials and tribulations as it brings forward my tintinnabulation and my very own bell...

Ring loud and wake me from my nightmare and my soft screams plight there
Where I could never be silent, still and lay bare within your glow for this entire world to view...

...twilight oh twilight, please oh please let it be you...
