She brings me such joy!

A Bowl Full of Daisy

A bowl of Daisy is what I found
Sitting around in the sink of my bathroom.
The gloom just zoomed away that day
As I peered through the door
First looking on the floor
For a little Daisy.
She comes to my home and keeps
Me from being alone and lazy.
She's my Grazing Daisy
Always looking for something to eat.
I hear pitter patter of her little feet
Coming from my kitchen.
And its so neat how she uses her teeth
To open anything from oatmeal bags
To cleaning rags sealed in paper.
Oh the capers that this little toddler gets
Herself into, and most stubbornly through,
As she begins to make cute little faces
Leaving crayon traces of her budding
Artistic expressions,
Teaching me lessons on how to climb
From the toilet, in no time, to the sink,
Reaching the pink Spongebob toothpaste.
And how in haste, she opens to taste
The flavor of its contents.
I saw her sitting there, with all those sandy curls
In her hair,  her two hands
As busy as honeybees.
What a sight to see; she just tickles me
As I look in amazement at her antics:
One hand holds the tube that she thinks
Is food and the other holds Old Glory.
(This is a true story.)
Waving the Stars and Stripes
Is my granddaughter, with all her might.
A patriot of her on making by taking
A flag from the wall, while feeling very tall,
In the bowl of a sink,
(Now covered in pink)
And filled with a bowl full of Daisy.
