The thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, realities, and happiness of love
Expressions of My Heart
When all emptiness is goneAnd and our love has brought us near
For everlasting.
When I can hear the voice of you
Whispering in my ear,
All the things we both hold dear,
Will come to be.
Like a dream come true,
When I see you, when you see me,
Lying in our bed face to face,
Locked in our warm loving embrace
Then I'll know that it's a miracle
Of God's own making.
Finding the love for which I was made
And you finding the one made wholly yours
Is worth all that we both endured.
As the years have taken their toll
On our hearts and our souls,
Our spirits never stopped the searching
As the yearning grew for me, for you.
And I didn't even know your name;
Just the same, you called for me
Across the sea, never knowing
I was hoping to find you, My Love.
Did you hear me?
Did you see me?
Did you know me?
Inside of yourself,
While life was going on
In all of your yesterdays of time and troubles,
Lost in the rubbles of rocky days,
And stone covered hearts,
While trying to find a love that filled that place
That sad and lonely place of emptiness within,
My Darling, I was in that same place: it's true
Trying to make the best of all the pain.
I felt a strain of the heavy load too
Upon my heart that was breaking.
And I know you were aching carrying this sorrow.
Now all of our tomorrows will find joy
In the love that we found.
Finally our ships will have come 'round
And we shall live together on the common ground
Of eternal blessed love, as our spirits entwine,
Making our rose covered vine stronger and more beautiful.
And as the years go by; as we live and as we die,
In our complete wholeness of love,
We shall remember the day when our glorious
Sweet union came to stay and thank the angels
For each time they prayed for our eternal happiness.
