"I'm going back to school," I tell him"although I'm not sure what to study."
"You can study me," he says
"and how I have designs on your body,"
I laugh and say I'll make the study
of him my theses, publish it,
become rich as Croesus
with a yacht in the med,
full crew and a water bed.
We fall back and laugh
because its fun to flirt
and it may be all cliches.
He sends me a paper kiss
I return with a heart
then its off to do chores,
walk the dog or be bored.
A few friendly words
lifts the gloom off the day.
