On the run

On the run

Hiding inside
just me and myself.

No one knows
what it feels like.

To be alone
all the time.

I run from it
the pain inside.

But I never get far
before it catches up again.

So many tears
they never dry up.

Crying hurts
when you do it all the time.

I run from myself
trying to get away.

But I never get far
before the pain hits again.

So what do you think of me now
when you know me.

Do you hate me
like so many others do.

I'm on the run
forever and always.

I'm on the run
all alone and scared.

I'm running
on the run.

Just.....run.

Kathy Lockhart
this poem is powerful in its revelation of your pain and despair.
Sometimes it better to stop running and just be still. Listen closely to the voice inside you, the one that tells you that you are beautiful, you are important, you are intelligent, you are wanted, needed, and loved. Listen now, Be still and know peace. xx kathy
