Just an observation
The day puts on an evening gown
In shades of softest night
Wearing a crown of diamond stars
That glitter clear and bright
The moon, a brooch of lustrous pearl
Festooned in silver chains of cloud
Looks down upon a silent world
That's patient, but unbowed
Sowing a crop of seed pearl snow
Dainty soft and white
A satin wind scatters them
Reflecting all stray light
On silent feet in ice silk slippers
Night dances down the marbled streams
Glides over forests of sunworshippers
Now wrapped up tight in white velvet dreams
