Soulja Boy, A tribute

"Soulja Boy up in it (OH!)
Watch Me Crank It
Watch Me Roll
Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy,
That Super Man Dat (OH!)"

He has infected our current generation
a man with a dance and a habit of Cranking it
but what does that mean?
Why is it a good thing to crank,
what level of status is acquired by cranking?
and the dance?
Nothing but swaying from side to side, and pretending to fly,
more embarrassing for us than DDR 5.

I've managed to avoid the craze,
but there always seems to be a new one each day these days.
Crank that will be lost in time,
a phenomenon that no one will want to rewind,
something lost in the past,
and may we all thank our deity for that.
