No Regrets
I feel so alone.I need your touch.
I need your love.
I need your wisdom.
I needed to say so many things
But time ran out for one of us.
I tried to walk away first,
But you ran the gauntlet.
You tore through the fences
Through the winters darkness,
And lost everything for all of us.
You closed your eyes to Hope.
You walked into the peace
You yearned for so many years.
You cried so many tears for us.
Your pain was much too live with.
The memory of you smiling
About the little brother who laughed,
And about your dreams for him,
Breathe life into our world.
He is a man now,
He has your kindness,
And he understands love,
And he knows pain.
I can't forget you
That will never happen
No regrets, just a longing
For my best friends smile.
