FADING PERSONA

Sorry for the accusations!
For the tears and the impatience.
Maybe you're just too goodhearted for me,
this malignant prisoner unable to be free.

A desperate longing
to get rid of this perfect dream,
it's perfectly unlogical,
or at least so it seems.

But deep within this fragile shell
the thought is immense and clear,
it makes perfect sense
to get rid of you my dear.

What am I worth in this tragic mess?
More than I know? Oh yes, oh yes.
The tragic belonging of yesterday
suffocates tomorrow, got hell to pay.

I really wish you see through my charade,
the strong and the weak, the persona that fades.
One thing above all am I certain is true:
my deep and overwhelming affections for you.
