Internal Strife
Like stardust thrown against the summers skyHis arms rise to spin and grasp
Thoughts and dreams and glittering love
And unrequited songs of despair.
Toward the days thinly veiled horizon
His eyes so red with salted tears,
Looks he within the forest darkened
With messages that tug his soul.
Entered into a contract with Jesus above,
He prays for sleep and confusions end,
As planets wobble and owls scream,
His heart cries as slumber awakens.
