There is a book called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. I wrote this to remind myself of my blessings. I hope you will see the blessings that are yours and be thankful for them.

Living in the Light

Someone's crying alone in the dark
Another has no fire, not even a spark
Still many others have no shoes on their feet
While those who pass by are eating crow for meat
Down the alley abandoned in haste
Lies a newborn discarded like yesterday's waste
Death and dying, souls are crying
Many live a life by cheating and lying
Ignoring the needs of humanity
Lets try and make a difference in this insanity
'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'
Show some compassion in all that you do
Remember that in helping others, we help ourselves
Show some mercy, some grace; get love off the shelf
For what is done in the dark shall be revealed in the sun
For the Light measures all things left undone

the lines are just the truth of our lives, strong enough to provoke the slept soules in the murky realizations.

You are so on it here girl! Yes! we think life is hard but look around us and we are shamed into silence, or in the poets case, inspired to write the truth of th world out. I love this poem. and I love you. YOu are a shining example of 'we can work it out!' smiling at you, Tai

Truly brilliant verse, and sentiments well worth remembering. Applaud.
