This is the way that Carolyn, my wife and I met.
I was determined that I wanted to go with the other face. Remember--that's all either one was to me at the time. After a bit Norma gave in, and Eldon, her date, and I went to the face's house. Norma went in and talked to the face about going out with me for only one night. In a while they came back out. That is when I found out the face had a name. Her name was Carolyn--for that matter it still is. We dated one night then a few weeks later I went to see her again. That began our rocky courtship.
About three years later, we decided it was time to make our relationship permanent. Now we have been married over 37 years. I wonder--where would I be, and what would I have done if I hadn't picked that face in the crowd rather than the other one? One thing I know for sure. There is no doubt in my mind nor has there ever been any doubt that I picked the right face that night, and I sure am glad that I didn't let Norma talk me into going with the other face in the crowd rather than with Carolyn my wife to be.

Another Face in the Crowd
She was only another face in the crowd when we met. It was a blind date that was only supposed to last one night. We were only dating, because my date had been sick. Her sister said, "I can get either of these two girls to go with you for one night." She showed me two pictures as she said that to me; I looked at them. Both girls were nice looking and nothing was extra special about either of them. Still something drew me toward that face and not the other one. I said if either of them will go. I would rather take her out. To me both were only faces in a crowd. She said, "You will have more fun with the other girl."I was determined that I wanted to go with the other face. Remember--that's all either one was to me at the time. After a bit Norma gave in, and Eldon, her date, and I went to the face's house. Norma went in and talked to the face about going out with me for only one night. In a while they came back out. That is when I found out the face had a name.
