For those who struggle with life...
and when the night closes in on your heart.
They tell you most things happen this way,
and life is sane and simple, at least in part.
But, no one told you that your heart could cry
softly through every day and most every night,
And that rivers can twist and turn and run dry
like a soul that gasps and screams in complete fright.
So, I wonder how we learn the answers never said
to questions never asked or truths unspoken
Or how to rage against the sunset dripping in red,
like haunted dreams or a melody cracked and broken?
