My Prayer
Sometimes love seems crazy. It makes no sense at all.
It defies all logic.
Sometimes you just fall.
No one said love and logic
Ever did relate.
I just fall down on my knees
And this is what I pray.
"Lord, make her heart happy.
Keep a smile on her face.
Keep her and protect her.
Never let her be displaced.
Lord, I am begging
Here on bended knee.
If it is your will Lord,
Bring her back to me."
My love for her is unending.
Be she here of far away.
My mind is filled with thoughts of her
Every minute, every day.
I love her so much.
Much more than I can say.
Each night I get down on my knees
And this is what I pray.
"Lord, make her heart happy.
Keep a smile on her face.
Keep her and protect her.
Never let her be displaced.
Lord, I am begging
Here on bended knee.
If it is your will Lord,
Bring her back to me."
I never meant to love her.
It was not my plan.
But the moment I got to know her,
I knew I had to be her man.
The roadblocks overwhelming
Seemed to pile up along the way.
So all I can do is just love her
And get on my knees and pray.
"Lord, make her heart happy.
Keep a smile on her face.
Keep her and protect her.
Never let her be displaced.
Lord, I am begging
Here on bended knee.
If it is your will Lord,
Bring her back to me."
