I wrote this because I needed to remind myself of this truth
sapped your strength and made you frown?
Then rest your heart in God awhile,
and His comfort will make you smile.
Has trouble broken down your door,
stolen your hope and returned for more?
Then rest your heart in God's great hands,
More than anyone else, He understands
Do you cry in lonliness, afraid and confused?
Have you been insulted, abandoned and abused?
Then rest your heart in God's grace,
And He will be your hiding place.
Rest your heart in God's love,
He will hold it like a trembling dove
He will soothe it with His loving touch
Because the loves you so very much

Rest Your Heart
Have life's challenges beat you down, sapped your strength and made you frown?
Then rest your heart in God awhile,
and His comfort will make you smile.
Has trouble broken down your door,
stolen your hope and returned for more?
Then rest your heart in God's great hands,
More than anyone else, He understands
Do you cry in lonliness, afraid and confused?
Have you been insulted, abandoned and abused?
Then rest your heart in God's grace,
And He will be your hiding place.
Rest your heart in God's love,
He will hold it like a trembling dove
He will soothe it with His loving touch
Because the loves you so very much
