God overcame death when he raised Jesus from the dead.
Sin was rendered powerless when Jesus died for all sins.
We can now choose death or God.

Death or God; Choose

Death is a thief who takes life
God is a creator who gives it
Death is cold and dark and alone
God is warm and light and near
Death is a liar
God is truth
Death is hate
God is love
Death brings sorrow
God brings joy
Death will keep your soul in torment
God will welcome your soul into paradise
Death will laugh at your tortured spirit
God will soothe your troubled heart
Death brings uselessness
God brings hope
Death brings sickness
God brings healing
Death brings fear
God brings victory

"He will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the
tears from all faces..."
Isaiah 25:8

A beautiful sermon in poetic form. And I know that your use of Death is a metaphor for the Dark One, Satan--Evil. You have shown the light of truth on the powers of Good and evil. All our bodies will have their time of death but our spirits will live on and because of that it is so important to know of the true nature of God, of his goodness, mercy, and grace. In God there is freedom. In Death there are chains. A powerful message for all to heed.
