Leap of Faith
We all tread paths of knowledgewith crossroads where we doubt
were we are offered answears
on sign posts tall and stout
and each of us will pick our way
throughout our living day
and none of us will stop
and stay
All knowledge leads to questions
the roads all carry on
to the cliffs of deep uncertainty
where we all stare on
beyond
I watch as people leap in faith
I watch them as they fall
I watch them cling to their beliefs
I watch them, one and all
And as they dangle from their roots
I stand there on the edge
The wind is howling omniosly
and I to ignorance do pledge
And as I feel a pang of jealosy
to those people down below
I watch a man kick and scream
Yelling like they weigh him down
"Let go! Let go! Let go!"
I feel, the world is much too dark
grab hold a good size rock
Send it down, game and set
the world could brighten yet
