This is the story of my famiy
the deadly beat of the drum
sends waves of dread
upon bowed heads
and will be the ending of some
For so long they stood strong
together righting wrong
it was their love that bound them
and God's blessings around them
that kept them singing their song
The Dark One suffered their existence
he set his mind to conquer their resistance
tragedy and temptations
betrayals and calculations
left scars, flaws and imprints
Steadily they grew in number
each added to the house like lumber
nailed together
they would face the weather
from birth until eternal slumber
But the Dark One brought all his power
And waited for just the right hour
He found a weakened plank
Brought in his strongest flank
and began to bring down the tower
As they tried to sing their joy songs
They were shaken by evils wrong
They prayed at lenght
for God's own strength
And for a long while did stay strong
But Evil has its legions
in hell and earthly regions
some mask as white hatters
some church chatters
All abhorrant aberrations
Confusion, betryal and doubt
from friends who turned them out
and shot their darts
through innocent hearts
and bled their trusting out
A remnant of this family band
Will remain until the last stand
they may be battered
and by the enemy scattered
But they'll be caught in God's loving hand

Deconstructing Good
The falling apart has comethe deadly beat of the drum
sends waves of dread
upon bowed heads
and will be the ending of some
For so long they stood strong
together righting wrong
it was their love that bound them
and God's blessings around them
that kept them singing their song
The Dark One suffered their existence

tragedy and temptations

left scars, flaws and imprints
Steadily they grew in number
each added to the house like lumber
nailed together
they would face the weather

But the Dark One brought all his power
And waited for just the right hour
He found a weakened plank
Brought in his strongest flank
and began to bring down the tower
As they tried to sing their joy songs
They were shaken by evils wrong
