DIGGING THE DARK UNDERGROWTH

Their loose tattle
or loitering on the street
changes nothing
not even the hand they wave
to penetrate the body

surging like a wave
they image in the air and
end up wriggling worms
hiding through the thick hedges
digging the dark undergrowth

Ah yes, The sad truth is that we all have it in us to change...so many just refuse and they are the worms that infest the undergroweth of humanity.
You certainly have a way with words and I Love it!!!!! Your poetry inspires me!!!! ~Laura

they image in the air and - not too sure with this line, it just doesn't seem to flow right in my mind.

the second stanza is my favorite for wording. the thing is, though, i object to the lack of hope. :) they're not worms, they're people, and every person has within the ability to change. they're lookn for a reason to do so, and being called worms gives them reason to do just the opposite...

respectfully, but on the side of hope
