Grief has a purpose. It lets us know that we have loved and prepares us to love again.
Robbed of a relationship you cherished
Immersed in loneliness
Emotionally crippled
Filled with sorrow
Grief is a doubled edged knife
It kills happiness but is necessary in life
To never grieve is to never love
Without the raven would we cherish the dove?
Through grief we are forced to exersise
emotions as they fall and rise
Our deepest feelings are brought to light
and we must see them wrong or right
We cannot stop the grief process
tho we might try to feel it less
The loss of love's flow plunges us down
where grief takes over and woe is found
There the work of grief will start
to settle our mind and mend our heart

Grief
Going without the one you loveRobbed of a relationship you cherished
Immersed in loneliness
Emotionally crippled
Filled with sorrow
Grief is a doubled edged knife
It kills happiness but is necessary in life
To never grieve is to never love
Without the raven would we cherish the dove?
Through grief we are forced to exersise
