This is just a write that I came up after going to bed tonight, so I got back up and put it on the computer. I hope that you all like it.

Tears and Beers

Your tears and my beers just don't mix any more.
I guess when you get right down to it they didn't before.
Now is worse than ever.
Soon we will be parting our ways--
Splitting the blanket as they said in the old days.
My laying out at night is catching up with me.
I am paying the price like all my friends said I would.
I thought we would always be together--
That you would never get fed up with me.
Now I know that I was wrong.
Your tears and my beers don't mix anymore--
Not the way they did before.

tears and beer do not mix. I have an occasional wine as I love port. I shed many tears and feel like a drink at times especially with peanuts, pizza or potato chips and my tears seem to disappear with the thought of food. Nice poem and easy to relate to.
