The Black Privateer

It's faded again
That brilliant shining light
We used to dance upon
And you disappear into
The dark shadows on the wall

The pearls in your skin
Is the last glimmer I see
And total darkness
Has now taken you away
And consumed all that was

Beyond the black walls
You continue to fade
Into even more
Of that cursed nothingness
That I created

Silently I withdraw
Into my usual black robe
Of self destructive mind games
No more light or pearly skin
Again, I am the destroyer

Hell, I'll sail the oceans
Invisible and damned merciless
The black privateer of carnage
And whoever you are
Wherever you try to go

Watch the waters at night
I'm breathing down your neck

Phyllis J. Rhodes
The Privateer seems to be his own worse enemy. Sad, so sad.
A good read.
