After reading the pages of his book, "Love Songs to the Queen Of Hearts," I was overcome with adoration and sweet remembrances of him and our love.

What A Wonderful Man

I cannot explain the certain things
That set my heart on fire.
But he was good, so very good
At writing about romance and desire.

So forgive again as I know how its been
With me writing of his sweet heart.
But when I read the love letters he'd leave
I sometimes can't believe it was me
He was writing for.

Each poem he wrote sent me a kiss for a note
And many Xs that showed he loved me.
He was my Loving Knight and made everything alright
And I -- his Rose of Albany.

What a wonderful man to share hand and hand
A beautiful time of togetherness.
Though the moments were few, both he and I knew,
We were gifted with God's blessedness.

I smile now when I think of him and how
We loved beyond all our expectations.
He gives me hope, many ways to cope
While I read his romantic exaltation.

And as I grow old and perhaps more bold,
I will tell the world of our sweet journey.
I will give a smile and think awhile
About Scotland and raindrops in a hurry.

Even in his death, I find solace
For he wrote of our future endeavors
As he proposed that his life would close,
In my arms, in his days in Indiana.

But you live still and always will
In the hearts of those who love you.
Your poetry and prose, Heaven knows,
Will last, My Darling, as eternally as you do.

I love you Michael,

Katherine

It has been such a shock to learn about Mike's demise!
I did not even know, he was ailing...
Oh, my dear friend, I have been away too long!
May his soul rest in peace!
May God give you the strength to overcome your grief!
Love,
(((Hugs)))

Great work here my dear friend. I know that Mike would be or is Pleased with it. I often wonder if we look back at what is happening down here and think about what if I were still there?
Again, I say Great Work!
Your friend,
Damon

Kathy,
This is a very touching poem. I deal with death and holding loved ones hands on an almost daily basis. Rarely do I encounter a poem that both enpires hope for those left behind, but also bravely bares ones soul in public. Beautiful poem...you should cherish it. While I never knew Michael..or you...he would be pleased with this...how could he not be... :-)
Huge hugs to you.
Dee

What a beautiful tribute to the love of your life. I can only imagine the pain you feel of the loss of your wonderful man. To have a love so deep and strong, you both were truly blessed!

Your poems of Michael are your best because they are the truth of your heart. He was indeed a Wonderful Man. He gave you a wonderful picture of yourself. He showed you who you truely are. He showed you your beauty and your worth. You had never known that before. He was God's Messenger sent to you for a specific purpose. He completed his mission and went home.

Kathy, you love so deeply and I know Michael will always cherish the love you had for him and he for you. The Lord needed a special Angel! Treasure those memories and know that it is better to love and lost then to never have loved at all. Thanx for this beautiful poem.
