daily scramble
descending dark whirls deep in her canvas
a melee unfaltering infinity
she christens
Night
2
I look between myself
I seek my nameless purpose
I remember the ocean
curled inside water
my life I know
3
patiently I run
striking fire in a crash of you
there is no we
4
gleeful fingers encircled the moon
a soft motion of love in passing
gone with a laugh
5
longing eyes watch hugging hearts
and know emptiness
glistening rain falls softly
6
four soft waves stood waiting
three waiting waves washed away
one waved
7
this particular moon
sets my nerves tingling
out of touch with peace tonight
8
once an oak stood in mighty calm
a tower of soul
befriending the wind, rain, and snow
man praised its height in song
9
among the darkness sleeping
where the salt-wind fills the damp
the stars and the cicadas
wake me softly
10
sing of my memories
murmur of my dreams
laugh with me
be silent with me
lull me to gentle sleep
my love
