Pride Is Too Stubborn For It's Own Good

The tears want to come out
But they just won't
The heart wants to let it all out
But pride is to stubborn
Pride sees crying as a weak and painful thing to do
But the heart sees it differently
The heart sees it as releasing all the pain, weakness and fear
But pride won't let go
And the heart wonders if pride is to stubborn
Then maybe the heart will let go
For good

oh, cool. pride is something that could really make the worst out of us. Pride was never gentle and sympathetic. i like this piece.

pride can keep us from some of the most beneficial things in our lives. Let those tears flow when needed and keep writing your heart out on these pages here at Poetbay.

Just a wee note to let you know that the word 'too' needs to be used in the place of 'to' in the body of the poem. The title is perfect. : ) kathy

our emotions sometimes need that therapeutic release. Shame we are many of us conditioned not to indulge in lachrymose moments.
