THIS CHRISTMAS

This christmas is a long forgotten song,
I remember the words but I sang them wrong.
There's a knot in my head, I can't get out.
Loss by heart, loss by mouth.

Lost my home, trapped in this tear.
Words and memories whirling around.
Hold my hand, it's a storm in here,
and where's my help to be found?

This Christmas can be lonely and desperate for many. Many are trapped in prisons of their own soul relief, poetry is great for that as when words are on paper we can see our own reflection and sometimes change our appearance within and without as a real mirror we look what needs to change. We all don't like what we see but we can help others while in need and that is Christmas not only this time of year but we can think of others all year.

Strange how the sparkle of Christmas can often be shrouded in the dark. Well penned thoughts as always.

Pamel Brooke
Sometimes we feel so alone and it is always worse at Christmas time, your very sad poem conveys this feeling very well.

Christmas is a sad time for many people. The Samaritans say it is their busiest time. Hope your Christmas improves.
