Rhyme Royal Compilation

The Dove and the Hurricane

Hovering over smoothest supple plains
Observing magic pool of his desire,
The dove descends 'neath warm and gentle rains
To land, and there to light a smoldering fire.
Distracted then, and drawn as on a wire
By sweetest scents of southern origins
'Tis then the hurricane of love begins.

The colours of the night

In the black blue coloured night
I hardly consider how it ends while
Living out a dream so bright
My face wreathes with a big smile
As if it's going out of style
I am alive as long as my dreams last
Pity, the colours of the night change so fast

The taunter has been called

Wave to the devil on your doorstep
He's got another one to haunt
Says he's got another shipwreck
Ah, the wives he has to taunt
Now it's all together devastating
At home they sit, a note awaiting
And he has to be. Oh, he has to be... a cunt

A New Year

Each new year is a gift
We've been given another chance
Between this and the last, a rift
Wake! Wake up from your trance
Welcome to the party, the dance
More time we have, don't just sit!
It matters what we do with it.

The Frustrations of Clouds

My grey darkened day can only be there
Where you sleep indolently in the skies
Your life giving content you will share
Only to miss and lovingly leave me dry
Uncover my body my soul and let me die
Spread and move apart those sinister fluffs
Let life's warmth embrace me in lyrical lust

(Rhyme Royal)

Who mingles with human here?
Fair enough the luster of wealth to regale
Far acquaintance deep pocket would be a dear
And with mere sincere emotions, the poor relations fail
As not for compassion; ties are now merely for sale
Worth honoring are blasphemies with big brands to vain
And lost are the words to define a perfect sane!

Tears Of A Flower

The tears of a flower,
are it's petals as they fall,
head bravely held high, yet barely clinging to Life's power,
but does anyone care at all?
can anyone hear one lonely flower's call?
how can we stop this flower from crying?
as another petal falls, does that mean it's slowly dying?

Down, Up See-Saw[A Friend For Your Need]

Compassionate and caring my arse!
just a lazy, selfish cow,
Nice? loving and kind? What a farce,
never go anywhere or do anything anyhow,
guess there's nothing more to say now,
except that life is not fair
and when I'm gone would anyone really care?

I know sometimes life seems too much,
and in a spiral you are going down,
for it seems you're not moving forward as such,
but that is the reason I am around,
to be a friend and help remove your frown,
so remember, if life appears to be bad,
my hand is here to hold when you're sad.

An Innocent Child's View

"What is the point of life?"
"Where did that come from, Sweetpea?"
"On the telly, there's always war, and strife,"
"Some don't have the same as we you see,
We are very lucky, you and me."
"But why must people war, and fight?"
"They're silly billies who don't believe the other side is right."

- by liz munro

Mother Of A Rogue Pirate Son

As I gaze upon the stars
dancing by the light of the moon,
I wonder "Is there life on Mars?"
then hope that you've FINALLY found your tune
as you left us too, too soon,
you NEVER lived life by the straight and narrow,
but lived and imitated Captain Jack Sparrow.

Oh, yes, it was the pirate life for you,
you hated too much crew talk,
no-one could EVER tell you what to do,
another notch up your belt you'd chalk
as back-chatters, the plank, you'd make them walk,
but caught and to the gallows you were sent,
my rogue, pirate son, you, I shall never forget.

My Heart Dances

With hypnotic movements, my eyes entrance
Rhythmic beats hold the mood of your passion
Watching your form as you melt into dance
Everyone noticed the star of the show
The spotlight lends a celestial glow
But at the end as the dawn greets the morn
I am so proud when my arm you adorn

- by Liam

--------------------------------------------------------

I Will Remember You

I will remember you when you are gone
Our friendship ties lay deep within our soul
You say I could forget you when it's done
And that our friendship will not stay on roll
With each our hearts, ignoring what you stole...
Our loving bond, left handprint on my heart,
I'd miss you had there never been a start...

Regret

My small little box where I am alive
Is all that was given to stay in, here.
While I work and I care, I sweat and strive
For options enjoyed in elderly cheer,
Now all that is left is a single year,
Until i've caught up with my one mistake
And a chance to start with a clean, fresh slate.

Admission repaid with high GPA
Clowning admonished by teachers who smile
High School is over what will come next, eh?
College, then work, then retired a while
Bored at the house so im back on the tile.
What would have happened if i never tanked?
If I HAD bothered, If I ever HAD thanked?

I never may know so know this is real,
I've learned from mistake, I've learned from that year.
Regret is a burden carried with feel,
Be gentle for it can burst into fear
The less it is thought the less it is near,
Find reason, for these words are my truest
Live fully, live life, fly free from your nest.

A big rhyme royal

A man I saw, I thought, had lost his legs
his jacket, draped, appeared to be limp pants
his legs concealed by a protruding ledge
my eyes had then to make a second glance
to trust our eyes, we have to take a chance
as sometimes we don't see what we can see
our eyes do fool us thus continually

I sensed I'd heard the sound of honking geese
I stopped my car right by the small side street
the sight of their fly-by was sure to please
but it was just the car behind mine's bleat
annoyed because I drove like some dumb teat
to trust our ears can often be absurd
as sometimes we don't hear what we just heard

The sense of taste leans on the sense of smell
together they must work entwined, conjoined
for if your taste buds cannot smell too well
then you will not enjoy that thick sirloin
your dining pleasures will have been purloined
so do not trust your taste and smell blindly
as taste depends upon the olfactory

The sense of touch? I cannot tell you much
as touch can bring so many varied things
the warmness of a lover's cheek in blush;
the sharp pain of a yellow jacket's sting
I don't believe that touch is everything
but this I know: a loved one's touch so pure
can help us with the things we must endure

January

January is here with her soft grey daytime glow;
With soft silent Auroras gossamer breath spreading her frost;
Followed by the white crisp unscented coldness of snow;
Covering this land softer all hard outline is lost;
Birds sing not sent to silence by this host;
Shiver of sinews spine as the wind cuts through;
Each step hard for everyone that's me and you.

Sheathed in silence each step marked and frozen outline;
Cold face of pink and white breath marks you;
Degree is counted and spoken in constant verbal rhyme;
Tired eyes searching upwards for a shade of blue;
But the east wind drives you with colds sinew;
Bringing on the Winters tradition of the teeth chatter;
No charming warm conversation now it doesn't really matter.

Yet with snowdrop nature begins to stretch her fingers;
The dark brown turns green and branch bark stretched;
But cold auroras grasp hold hard yearning to linger;
And the cold blue sky sweeps away warmth fetched;
Taking away the serenity that spring may yet met;
But in fullness of time earths new creation we see;
To mark the end of Winter we must realise January.

Spring Slaughter

So soft the breeze of sweet deceitful May
comes crooning to the flowers in the field
Its seeming innocence does not betray
the undertones of violence it shall wield
Against the blooms, whose grisly fates were sealed
The day their loveliness outshone the sun
His jealousy will kill them, every one

And just as once it sang with such delight
The wind now picks up speed and starts to tear
At roots and leaves; it hurls them left and right
determined not to leave one standing there
The flowers cry "This carnage is unfair---
please grant us mercy!" but to no avail
The breeze deserts their bodies, torn and pale

So soft the mournful moon begins to weep
as night puts end to daylight's killing spree
The lady of the darkness whispers "Sleep---
I wish eternal glory unto thee."
The flowers in their graveyard cannot see
or hear her gentle blessing, but they sigh
as one by one they wither, brown, and die

Animal Nonsense

A calm Clam or a Clam calm,
An Ewe shaking it's head at the Lamb,
The Monkey fell over and scratched it's palm
And a Kookaburra laughed till off fell his head,
The Crocodiles wanted to know when they'd be fed
A sighing Elephant shook his ears
While the Cobras said "We are the root of your fears."

The Elf - A nonsensical Rhyme Royale

One day, when I was looking for myself
All through the pathless forests of my mind,
I met a bloke in greenish cloak: "An elf,"
I whispered. Pointed ears revealed his kind.
He was the only thing that I could find.
So now my quest has reached its logic end:
My self's an elf and nothing else, my friend.

SNOW

In the wood I walked one evening by myself and I fight
its not summer, it's not spring, not fall, its cold, its winter
Hot is summer fall is brown green is spring, winter is white

Snowflakes from above in the wind so slowly they glitter
walking and talking to myself I am a word-eater an forester

the sky looks like a whiter shade of pale, milk-and-water
I am sending you this notes I am not an down-and-outer

Change of Art

There was a time when you would rise, inspired
by images assembled in a dream
with canvas stretched, imagination fired
becoming Great Creator of your scene.
A number ten hog bristle held between
your thumb and fingers stained with ochre hues
whilst tints and pigments oozed from crumpled tubes.

Today, technology has changed your view
and you proclaim computers reign supreme.
Alizarin Crimson fades with Cobalt Blue,
and you've sacrificed your easel for a screen.
The author of your melancholic theme
from being in control to being controlled
The Devil now has your romance and your soul.

-by Caroline Grace

A Rhyme Royal for the New Year

The new year surely is upon us now,
And all it holds is scarcely ours to know;
But winter's fading once more will allow
That creeping green where late were ice and snow--
The rebirth that is spring, which bids us grow!
And daylight: Does it not e'en now grow longer?
The very thought's enough to make us stronger!

For Danny Boy

Once upon a royal rhyme there came a whoring
from a Liar spitting untruths of despicable fire
of the unholy rose! All realised how boring
and how easily her Arc de triumph crashed in the shire
Where Danny boy sat prickled in her mire.
Meanwhile she continued to eat her turds
She had spat at Reynolds with her lying words.

WHY?

I sat alone full of despair and thought
Why do I feel this way so sad and blue?
I know not what I've done to make him so
Full to the brim of wonder just for you
Admitting now I know not what to do
I tried my best to make him love me so
I made his favourite dishes even though

He ate them without thought like he is blind
I made his bed so cosy and inviting
Bent over backwards to be good and kind
And even when my toes he was a-biting
I never saw the love in his eyes lighting
I stroked his hair and underneath his chin
He just ignored me, oh it is a sin

What can I do to make him love me now
I've done all that I can I'm at a loss
I keep on trying, must succeed somehow
But show him I don't want to be the boss
Just look at him he doesn't care a toss
For me you bought that dog and yet it's true
He isn't mine for he belongs to you!

Meeting You

We've been talking to each other for more than a year.
Never did we have the chance to meet.
Then the other day you overcame the fear.
Our meeting was such fun and oh, so sweet.
You were just perfect from your hair down to your feet.
To be with you made me wear a perma-smile.
I hope our next meeting won't be in so long a while.

exhilaration

And when I felt the magic of the field
I lifted up my spirits and extolled
The marvels which to me had been revealed
I whistled with the music as I strolled
Through beauty so astounding to behold
My pen is far too meager to create
The ecstasy this conjured in my gait

Wow! Tony D! Love your romantically brilliant exploration of the Rhyme Royal

Seda! Your work is full of the light of truly living life to the fullest. It picked me up with every word written. Thank you for rising us up above the clouds in the cheer filled rhyme royal.

Cr4ky! Your rhyme royal is so cool....as I said on the original comment on it, the first I have read with 'THAT' word in it that made me smile. Yes! say goodbye to the bastard devil, he has other lives to haunt. Fabulous RR! thank you for making me smile so much, and you are not a **** at all, just a guy.

Anne....A good kick up the arse rhyme royal this is for a fabulously productive New 2009. Lest we forget to dance. No tiptoeing around in this RR. Well spoken in written swerve, smiling at you.

Mr Glasgow!lol All I can say is Yes yes yes, the more lust the merrier we will be, here's to a highly sucessful lust filled 2009 for both of us. Wonderfully rhymed royal, no one should ignore it's message. Lust isn't bad, it's just when it's complicated and gets sad that we label it's whoop ass medicine bad! Winking at you, Tai

Yes again Tamra! give me a fair acquaintance with deep pockets every time! Nah! I am rich in good company and perfectly happy that way, money makes the world go brown! lol springs to my altruistic dumb mind!lol Loved your RR! the distant past of the language makes it a fine tapestry.

I will be back to comment on the rest of these wonderful rhymes. Got a builder in the kitchen giving me a new beauifully clear view right now and much study to do.

Very impressed thus far at the huge amount of talent on this wonderful poetry site.

Thanks so much to the fine Editorial Team

Tai, smiling broadly
