CANCER Acrostic

Can this be happening to me?
And why shouldn't it be?
No one else should take my place
Clear my mind and prepare for the race
Eye the goal and keep it in sight
Run with God till the sun conquers night

Set my mind to the task
Clear out doubt and do what God asks
Aim to be His witness here
Reject all temptations of fear
Enjoy His spirit ever near

Very good Phyllis sometimes, though, a cancer patient never gets the chance to fight. My wife never left the hospital, and only lasted just under a month from the time they found it until she left this world. I am sure that was because it took the doctors so long to realize that there really was something wrong with her like she kept telling them. Sometimes a doctor knows his patient to well and just shrugs off his/her comments is what I think. I think that is what happened with her.

The good thing, however, is she isn't suffering anymore. And she did suffer greatly.

Amen! and Amen.
Such a moving acrostic. Every word true.
