A cowrite with my beloved friend Nancy!!! Thank you Girl, it was such a pure joy to write this one with you:)

Fail-safe redundant protection

A lunatic I may be
But there is more to me
Than you can see

 I can keep a vow
When the dark winds howl
But is my vow a law
Which keeps me sane
when others stick in my craw
Or am I it’s slave
Like a diamond with a flaw?

Prisoners are we all
In the paradisical gardens
Afraid to express
In an attempt to impress
Mourning its withered
Flowers and lost hours

The open maw of hell
Laughs out loud

No one can trust
Repentance born of fear
No one can touch
Echoes of secrets that they hear

Madness Madness
Surrounded by sadness
Holding away calmness
But still seeking gladness

Oh tell me good people
Why do we cling to days of yore

"No one can trust Repentance born of fear" This is such a powerful line in what is a "pure joy" of a poem to read. Thank you.
