Much has been said and is still been said, and written about this Lady, especially while she's not been present to defend herself. But the following lines, (which one hopes do not belong in the cowardly corner) have manifested
in my mind:

Diana, Princess of Wales

Remembering the solace of an all too brief embrace,
Fallen tears on tiaras put her diamonds in their place,
And the only consolation for her ever reaching hand,
Was the coldest of caresses from the latest leaf to land...

Elle The PoetBay support member heart!
I think she was a shining star for the british but sadly very under valued and her death turned into a gallery for the ghouls - so sad - I like what you have written very much - I was always taught not to speak ill of the dead, it is a shame that media etc can not do likewise

I like this interpretation of our dear Diana's tragic short life my friend. I was a fan of hers, I felt for her and thought her a lamb to the slaughter right from the beginning. I never read a nasty word against her when she was alive and I ignore the clamour of the media to destroy her good reputation in revenge for their pursuit of her that ultimately led to her death imo. She was a star who was bound to burn brightly but briefly....A sweet tribute to a very beautiful and good woman. Smiling at you, Tai
