Sun and Wind in Winter Haiku

Bright Misleading Sun
Blinds eyes searching ice blue skies
While bitter cold bites

Wind gusts sting red cheeks
Sun rays caress the cold's slap
Cloud tufts sigh and drift

Sledders bundled fat
Soaking Sun and fighting wind
Take what fun they can

This takes me back to skiing with my family on the slopes of the Sierra Nevadas. Fighting the cold and the sun, with my big blue columbian jacket rubbing it's steel and fabric against my red-raw chin. This is a fantastic piece, bookmarked my friend.
