The Turn of the Screw

He took out the last shiny screw, the sharp point glinting in the dim backroom lighting

Slowly he raised it up to the tiny little hole, his had shaking as he inserted the screw into its final resting place.

He turned then, to the worktable, and drew out a long slender screwdriver and in one fell swoop he smashed it up against the screw

He paused for a moment, terrified of the travesty he was about to commit by completing his task,

He summoned his courage, pushing down all compassion and love, and began to screw in the last little piece...

The final turn of the screw was the most horrible of all

As he turned the screw the last time he could hear the anguish to come

With this last turn of the screw he sealed his fate, full knowing what he had done

And life the first drop of rain as it begins to pour, a small tear ran down his face and he began to bawl...

he sealed his fate...coffin?
Interesting for sure. The mystery intrigues.

Morgan Cellohead
uhh...inventor of the guillotine? ...constructor of the atomic bomb? I have no idea, but this is well done and i'm curious to no end.

AMBIGUITY
I really like the style of this piece, if not the story it reminds me of...
I am curious about your intended meaning

Sun.Moon.Stars.Rain
already you know
what i interpreted this
enigmatic piece to mean
so i was a little
off...ah well
my point is, your words
ensnare the imagination
never quite telling us
everything we want to know
so we read again, hoping
something new will come out

and it does, but never
gives us the whole picture
ambiguously awesome
impressive writing
nicely done!
