The Turn of the Screw
He took out the last shiny screw, the sharp point glinting in the dim backroom lightingSlowly he raised it up to the tiny little hole, his had shaking as he inserted the screw into its final resting place.
He turned then, to the worktable, and drew out a long slender screwdriver and in one fell swoop he smashed it up against the screw
He paused for a moment, terrified of the travesty he was about to commit by completing his task,
He summoned his courage, pushing down all compassion and love, and began to screw in the last little piece...
The final turn of the screw was the most horrible of all
As he turned the screw the last time he could hear the anguish to come
With this last turn of the screw he sealed his fate, full knowing what he had done
And life the first drop of rain as it begins to pour, a small tear ran down his face and he began to bawl...
