For my husband Paul
Another entry for the challenge
you enfolded it like a tiny bird
just out of the nest, unsure and trembling.
The first time you kissed my lips
you cupped my face like a blooming rose
that you had bent to inhale its aroma.
You said "I love you" as we drove along
in silent peace, and amazed me.
In disbelief I said the same
and you held me tightly.
Then you changed everything
in your life
to accomodate me.
You asked nothing of me
and gave all of yourself
And you taught me all about love.
You are my one and only and always,
Valentine.

My Always Valentine
The first time you held my handyou enfolded it like a tiny bird
just out of the nest, unsure and trembling.
The first time you kissed my lips
you cupped my face like a blooming rose
that you had bent to inhale its aroma.
You said "I love you" as we drove along

And you taught me all about love.
You are my one and only and always,
Valentine.
